I am going to talk about earthquakes, earthquakes are natural vibrations of the ground caused by movement along gigantic fractures in earth"s, also caused by volcanic eruptions. Sometimes earthquake can killed more than 100,000 people. Most earthquakes occur when rocks fracture, or break deep within earth. For example when the plates deform it causes the Earth to get fracture and cause earthquakes to develop.

Math

Math is the study of measurements,relationships of quantities and sets using numbers and symbols.Do you enjoy Math? Are you good at Math?well math is very important. It's used in the world every day. If you are good at math try to get a profession in math it's very important.

Slavery

The term slavery to me is the state of being a slave and working in hard conditions and being subjected.At the time of slavery
,one person would own and trade some of his slaves. Slaves will work in hot, cold , and rainy conditions. The owners of the slaves were very harsh ed and he sometimes didn't feed his slaves who have been working hard in these big Fields, picking cotton
which the owners guards watching them.But that's over now but theirs still different types of slavery still in this huge world.

My personal blog - life .

My life is pretty good right now. i have a great family, good friends,
and a great job. I just got my job like a month ago, my aunt hooked me
up. Im like a medical assistant, it's a really good job. My best friend is
a girl named Paloma Bido and she works with me. It's great working
with her beause im not bored all the time, but i love her though, she's the
best. Anyways, about my family, I love my little sister. She's is extremely
annoying and she has a big mouth but i love her very much. My mom is
just annoying period, and i work with her too so I see her all the time but
I love her too, without her i wouldn't be here right now. I have to she's
my mom = )

The Bronx Issue - the environment .

I care about trees and our environment. I mean its not like im an
environmentalist and i worry for it all the time but i care for it. Trees
and plants are what gives us oxygen and without that we wouldn't even
be here right now. We can't live with no oxygen. But its also good not to
litter, especially in beaches and oceans because that's what gets them so
contaminted and then there's pollution. But we should all care for our world
and our world and our well being.

My school issue - the cafeteria

I think the biggest school issue is the cafeteria, meaning L U N C H !
I honestly don't enjoy the food we get to eat. Nearly everyone in
this world does. Unless they go to a school where they can go
outside for lunch or if they go to school with snack machines and such.
I mean im not saying its really bad but its not like i eat the foood everyday,
well actually i don't eat it at all. It is definetly good that we get some food
like fries or bagels, and chips. But i still think regular lunch should
be better, so i think the schools need to work on that.

Crime in the Bronx

This something we as people see everyday.most us don't care or can't do anything about it but me as person who want's to join the L.AP.D I often wonder what causes' a human being to commit a crime that can ruin their life. I guess the only thing i can do for now is write about it.

School policy

Students should not wear uniform.  There are about 25 percent of students that wear there uniform.  However, the other 75 percent of students do not wear there uniform.  Also if a student didn't wear there uniform it can effect there grade. my school is one of the only schools that require the students to wear there uniform.  

Earthquake

    Earthquake could make the world and cause volcanic eruption that can destroy the world also the earthquake can make the population decrease by death . Earthquake can make tsunami under the ocean floor.

i like math?

I like math because is gowning to help us alot in the future and in college to. i love math because i love to count money and math is like a new world for people that like math with all kind of problems to do.there are many tool u need to succeed.

There is a lady being charged with murder for making threats to a girl named megan who has now comited suicide. The lady made a fake myspace as a boy sending threats and making the girl feel bad. Grills 20 years old will be testifying thursday. The girl who hung herself was being treated with depresssion and attention defecient disorder. The mom of this girl wrote several messages on aim saying she was a boy named josh and that he liked her and this world will be better without her . Sarah Drew , the daughter of the mom that diid this terrible thing says her mom thought it was a good idea at first. Now because of this there is a family hurt and in so much pain over myspace and aim.

my post is about why people are so fake??? i REALLY WANT TO KNOW!!!!! its like girls are so catty when it comes to guys (even if theyre not theirs) and guys play too many games. I be getting tired of that. its like these days you cant really trust anybody. people change in a heart beat and its so hard to believe people when they say that you can trust them and that they wont do you dirty...thats a big [CENSORED] lie. bronx issues

      i don't really have a problem with the bronx besides the graffitti and trash. i think that some buildings with graffitti look horrible. As for the trash, Disgusting.  I mean seriously,what is wrong with people these days?! what is so hard about taking your garbadge and throwing it in the trashcan! god! what the heck!!

Do we need a father?

I think we all need a father in our lives. A father is the leader of the family. Some people do not care about having a father, and I think it is not their fault because some fathers be hitting their wives, kids, or some of them be Cheating, so some mothers decide to be single. Some kill their husband, some kids kill their fathers because they think life without their father is better. For me, no matter what my father does, he will always be my father. Your father is your father no matter what he does, so you should try to get along with them.

Fathers

I just cant understand people having problems with their fathers, to me, my dad is the best and I love him. sometimes for other families, I blame the father for leaving their children behind. Even if you don't care about the mother, the child is definitely yours, so you should show them care and respect. I know am cool with my dad.

The article I read in called Michelle Williams Grief gets Worse after Heaths Death. It's about Heath Ledgers ex Michelle Williams is still grieving from his death in January. She says she's tired of the paparazzi always stalking her and her daughter Matilda, who's also Heaths' daughter. She doesn't want her to grow up feeling stalked so she's thinking about taking time off even though she loves acting. She hasn't even had enough time to grief because of all the media attention. I understand how she feels because I had someone who I considered a mom die 2 days after Heath Ledger died and like at first I couldn't grieve because I was looking out for her daughter trying to console her. It's almost a year and I'm still not over it, I'm still grieving so I kind of understand where she's at emotionally. I'm not stalked by paparazzi but I am stalked by everyday problems that seem to get worse daily. 

Fighting

If your going to fight, fight outside of school. People get mad and feel like physically hurting somebody and that is explainable. Yet teachers shouldn't fight that's weird.

school issue

One issue i think we have in school is dat we cant bring are cell phone to school.i think thats an issue because we dont know wat could happen after school.an emergency could come up.Or maybe we may not be feeling so gd  and we want 2 call to our house.

Bronx our barrio

The bronx is a place that people like because people were born here and is like their home. The bronx is not my barrio and it will never be. One reason is because the bronx looks so f@#*&$ up. You could see garbage in the floor and that is very disgusting. And the schools and buildings are horrible they have a lot of confetti and thats not cool. The only thing that makes the bronx cool is that people are very nice (well not all of them) but some of them are friendly. And too they got a lot of stores and that is good that way people could buy their things. Not but seriously the bronx is cool place for the people who think is nice, but not for me.

Cell Phones in Schools

One of the school issues I want to discuss is the fact that we can't bring electronics to schools. I understand about iPods, psps, and stuff like that, but cell phones, I don't understand. I think we should be able to bring cell phones to school. You never know when we might have an emergency and need to talk to our parents, or if they need to talk to us. There are days wen students don't feel good and they want to leave school early. Another reason why I think we should be able to bring cell phones to school is because most of the students are leaving their cell phones in the stores. In the first place I think that is dangerous because they might steal it or loose it. And also because they charge you one dollar for every time u bring your cell phone. So I think the best thing to do is allow students with their cell phones to schools. I hope that teachers that read this blog take in consideration my opinion. Thank You!

My pet peeve about school

One thing I personally hate with a passion about school is the fact that their are loads of rules set into place to protect teachers from the actions of lack there of students. i mean don't get me wrong they should have rules set into place when it come to things like a student threatening or actually attacking them. C'mon if a student wanted to file a report on a teacher doing thing of that nature first they would have to go their principal and then present their case to a person who is skeptical about the validity of what is being said and more times than not they'll side with the teacher either way so now you have a principal who isn't willing to listen. Now you have to go to the local region/board of education office but they wont even give you the time of day because they'll contact your school where you'll be discredited until you actually get hurt and then wind up having to file a police report for them to actually listen to you; but guess what many teacher unions only suspend teachers who are pending an investigation with pay.But a student wont even be allowed to go to school or a suspension site until their found guilty or innocent which is almost always guilty because just as the principal they are skeptical and will do anything to prevent their members from embarrassing them and drawing negative attention to them and to me i find that to be extremely unfair.

    school is very boring. It would be nice if we went on trips once in a while you know? it would also be awesome if we actually went outside for lunch and not be stuck in one classroom every f*****g day. I mean i know that school is not supposed to be fun, and that we come here to learn, but how do you expect us to learn when we are stuck in the same hot place all the time.

Not all fathers are bad and you can't blame all fathers for something one does. Just because they leave doesn't mean they don't care and don't regret it. Well there not as important as mothers but are still important. You still need them since you don't only come from your mother.

What i don't like about this school is that we don't get to change classes. We are always stuck in the same classroom with the same people and that is very boring. Not to be rude to this school, my school this school is so boring and it sucks and if they don't do something about this is going to be a bad school, well it already is and i mean is not that bad they just have to fix the problem i said. I think that if Mr.Freij and Ms.Ray were to fight I'd still respect them. The reason why is because I don't think that people deserve respect whether they fight or not. First of all, fighting is just a thing of life. Some consider it bad while others don't. Anyways my main point by this is that fighting shouldn't determine whether a person needs to be respected or not. A person should be respected at ALL TIMES whether they fight or not. Therefore, if Mr. Friej and Mrs. Ray were to fight I'll still respect them but ofcourse I wouldn't see them in the same way as before or think of them as the goodie teacher or even think that they're a good example of which we should follow.

Bronx community has many issues in which it needs to improve on. However I theorize that the issue that the Bronx environment needs more improvement on is on its sanitation. Certain parts of the Bronx community is very filty and dirty. I think that the Bronx environment need more services of sanitation. The first reason why is because all its filtyness is causing air, land, and water pollution and this is something that is affecting our environment in a very negative way. Furthermore, I think that Bronx needs more sanitaion services because not only will it affect our environment in a good way but maintain our environment clean and sanitary. Last but not least with better sanitation services, our Bronx commnity will have a better image an d reputation.

The school policy towards the school uniforms should be changed.The students of Taft High school be trusted and given a chance to wear regular clothes instead of the school uniforms. I think if the school did not allow students to wear their regular clothes to at less let the students design and vote for the uniform colors and design of the clothes. I hope the school gets ideas for this situation and they make their mind.

Physical Education

Is my most hated subject unlike most students who enjoy this class I hate it.My Reason for my hatred is I suck at sports.And there is a dumb dress code I often wonder why it is a reqirement cant' it be optional?,regardless I must force myself to complete this Subject otherwise im going to fail.

Obama was born in Hawaii, Honolulu, in1991, Obama gradated from Harvard law school so in my knowledge he's very intelligent. After college Obama was nominated to be elected president by the major u.s political party. I hope he keeps his promise.

Math Is Wack!!!

    I don't like math because it have a lot of  numbers. I like some session about math is  changing improper fraction to mixed numbers. I like to to add fraction because is easy. I like to count money. I really don't like to count is coins because is a lot of coins to count. 

The School Policy

      I believe that the school should let us leave for lunch time plus change classes. Student can't leave outside for lunch. Student can't en changed classes like the other school. Student don't have any other option to to eat school lunch and student could bring their own lunch. I believe that the school could let us leave for lunch because they will have less fights and cause the school should changed classes because it will be less boring and we could meet new teacher and student.

i HATE math.

I hate Math because it has so much problems and numbers. I also don't like math because it's to hard and so boring. A fact about Math is that people been using it for years, another fact about Math is that it's everywhere. For example, when you pay for something at a store with money you have to know Math to make change. If you don't know how to make change, then you don't know Math. Well even though I don't like Math we still have to learn it. The last fact about Math is that the word "product" means multiply. When you see a problem that says "what is the product of this problem _?" this means you have to multiply. Well my last opinion about Math is that it gives me a headache.

Is a Father a Father if he isn't their for you ?

What is a Father to you? is it a man who takes care of you or a man who just donates sperm? a Father is the man that has been in your life more than anything. Some dads don't worry about their kids. Many fathers don't want the kids they fathered. these days many people need fathers because of the economy. Many kids don't believe in step dads. Well a step dad can be the replacement of some one's dad who has not been in their lives. 

Fighting

If you and Mr. Freij fought, I will still respect you as long as you still people get along, as in, still taking to each other and asked each forgiveness.

I know that even you and your best friend had a fight it doesn't mean that friendship is over. There have to be a time that you and your friends don't agree something and it turns out to a fight, its to late to apologize.What really matters is the the love and the care that we for each and others.

Good friends will always be there for they will love you and care for you.

For me I will not want to fight because if i do i will regret it, so before you regret  do the right thing.

fathers are slacking

Many fathers aren't there for there children. They don't even call to see how there kids is doing. They just think about their selves. They don't want the mother to put them on child support but they don't help. I guess they just don't understand how much a child needs in life and how much money a child needs to be taken care of. A child is a big responsibility. They don't take responsibilities for what they have done. Some fathers never even seen there kids, because when they find out the girl is pregnant they decide to run and leave everything behind. I feel that fathers has to start stepping up and taking care of there kids. Us children need both parents in our lives. Now in days all you see are single moms trying to take care of there kids and give them everything they want. All a parent does is want there kids to be happy and without one parent that is hard. Fathers basically made us and just leave us and have us wonder about them.. Who is our father? How are they doing? Where are they at? We have all these questions and all fathers do is think about themselves. Sometimes a child can feel unimportant when their fathers don't call at least just to see how their child is doing they don't even have to stay on the phone for long. One phone call can make a big difference. I know how it feels because my father doesn't call me I have to call him to ask for whatever I want. I just wish fathers will take care of their responsibilities and start being in there kids lives.

The Fatherless Nation

Lets face it although it may not be politically correct to say so, vast numbers of Americans have gradually become fatherless. Now maybe not always in the actual sense of people not having fathers but in the sense of what I like to call absentee-parenting. This generally occurs when one parent is either expressing minimum or no interest in one or more aspects of their child's life and or their well being, thus leaving the other parent to play the role as both father and mother to the child. this parent left to play the secular role of primary care giver, bread winner and concerned parent is usually the mother.

In away fathers just drifted into the background of the family landscape willing to be credited in the areas where the sun shines and rejecting responsibility in the shadows. For some reason or another many fathers just aren't stepping up to take responsibility for their children leaving many mixed feelings on the child's part making it the norm for children to talk ill of their fathers with no remorse or sorrow for what was said further weakening the already estranged relation ship sadly many fathers just aren't taking responsibility for their children and no matter how you look at it they just aren't doing what they have to do to preserve a relationship with their children leading kids to do a lot of thing they wouldn't have their fathers were there. I think that the reason why America has been shoveling fatherless generation after fatherless generation is not just a one particular groups fault just as their are two sides to even a double-headed coin just like there are two sides to every story and you can't put the blame on a father for not being their for a child who expresses no int rest in them to begin with it takes two to tango just as it does to have a relationship and fathers. Even though the roles fathers play aren't nesscisarily ideal for many people their are others who are okay with but one thing im sure of is that all fathers need to play a bigger role in their childrens lives and that all children no matter what they say wish that they could to.

A FATHER IS A LEADER!!!!

Fathers nowadays are changing,they don't want to take responsibilities for their actions.Most families are not complete,the father is supposed to be the leader of the family,but in most cases in this generation,parents are divorced and in order to have a great family you need complete parents.I wonder if parents put their children into consideration before they make choices?This hurts us, especially when you have grown up with both around,and after a while you have to lose one,its painful.

School Issue: Going out for lunch

There are good things and bad things about going out for lunch. First off, school lunch is nasty. Some people, like me, don't eat lunch because its nasty. If we go out for lunch, everyone will eat and then we'll be more attentive in class. Also less people will cut afterwards because they're not hungry anymore. The bad thing is that some people are really irresponsible. So some people might not come back to school. 

The solution: what we could do is like have a trial run. If a big majority of people come back then it might be effective.If it works, then what we could do is sign a contract or something and if we go against it, then there would be consequences. Like for example, we cold get a detention for every period we cut, including PM school. That would be hott.......

Fighting

Fighting I think fighting is necessary if need example if a person  hits you for no reason and you warn them and they do it more then 3 times then you should fight them. Example me when I was in the 6th grade I had a fight with a boy because they boy had hit me in my face 4 times I warn him told him to stop he did not  listen I beat him up and he learn a lesson never to hit me in my face again. I think fighting is sometimes need to teach a lesson to people who need to learn it. The person  should fight over important things not dumb things like an important person hurts you do not apologize and laugh at goes up in your face pass your personal square then you  need to do something. I understand fighting is not safe but when its too much then you need to do it. I agree people should not fight because they can get hurt really badly and look like fools. But I think fighting should be done at most. But I also believe people should not fight because you can hurt a person and get arrested meaning fighting is bad but cops fight a criminal why is that when it is need when criminal refuse. Overall fight is bad and good so fighting is a okay I guess if you read this blog answer and i would love to hear what you think about my blog.

Open Letter

Dear Journalism Students,

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts in class this week. Some of you were very open and honest about your thoughts and feelings, and I was proud of you for your responses—It’s not an easy thing to do!

After hearing you thoughts, I came up with some questions I would like you to answer to follow-up our “snow ball” thought session. Here they are:

1. Many of your responses mentioned your mothers. Mothers have the ability to make us feel special or, sometimes, not-so special. They are a very important part of your lives. On the other hand, no one mentioned his or her fathers.

Questions: What role do fathers play in the lives of your generation? Is the role they play ideal, or do we want something more or something different from them? (You may answer this question in general, no need to talk about your family, unless you want.)

2. Listening to your responses, it seemed that you all did not think fighting was a big deal. However, it is a very big issue to teachers and administrators (not to mention the cops).

Questions: Why do you think there such a big difference in opinion? For example, what would you think if Mr. Freij and I fought? Would you still respect us?

Uniforms !

Uniforms are wack because it makes us look all the same, and you have to wear them everyday. Three facts about uniforms are that a lot of schools wear them, and they make you wear it. Another fact about uniforms is most schools have the same color. I think that schools shouldn't have uniforms because then more students would come to school in their own clothes, and students would be more happy.

I dislike Math

i hate math. math have so many numbers. There are so many operations. It has to be everywhere and has to do with every thing. Math is so confusing. This is why i dislike math.

My opinon of slaves

I believe slave's was treated wrong . By 1837 the price had soared to $1300, a huge amount at that time. A prime field worker between 8 and 25 years old cost about $500 in 1832. Obama

I'm very happy that Obama won. The election was very close between Obama and McCain. However, in Washington D.C Obama had 94 percent. of votes over McCain. Also, in New York state Obama had 75 percent of votes over McCain. Now in history Obama is the first black president. I am happy my mother voted for him.

Slavery.

Slavery is a social economic system under which certain persons known as slaves are deprived of personal freedom and compelled to perform labour or services. Slavery was a bad thing because people didn't have freedom for them selves. A slave had to do what is asked of him by his master, usually this is work of some kind. Slaves are punished for not following their master's orders, working too slowly, or attempting to runaway. When we think of slavery today we think of the black Africans who were captured, sold into slavery and taken to the Americas to work on the plantations there.

Obama.

I think the election was exciting, it took a long time to say who won. Alot of people voted for Obama, who is 47 years old he is the first African American to be nominated for president. What made it exciting was i didn't know who won. I wanted Obama to win a he did woo ! OBAMA '08

Slavery

People should not before sale. In a bill of sale from 1811, a slave named Eve and her child, at a price of $ 156. Also, a "Prime" field worker between 18 and 25 years old cost about $ 500 in 1832. Besides, Slaves cost only $15 dollar to $60 dollars a year to support. However, most owners saw slaves as property not people.

Thats all i heard people screaming yesterday. yes he won we finally got a change in the white house. people in manhatten was running through the streets yelling OBAMA !!!! I was so happy. I was surprised that we actually have a black man as a president. There was 338 votes for Obama and 115 votes for Mccain. Obama is trying to make so many things better. He is attempting to raise wages. He is trying to make the richer, richer, and the poor, richer. Yes its a miracle and many people is satisfied.

Obama`s Victory

I was so shock when I found out that Barack Obama had won the election. I could not believe he had won the election a black president in United States history he work hard never gave up and did his best and he won. Now i believe there is hope and that american can go back to the place it was before this disaster occur. I believe he will make a change and not let the american  people down i hope so and i know so cause he is a hard worker. I was so happy when i heard this i did not know what to do i now believe no matter what race and color you are you can achieve if you set your mind and heart to it you have to be smart and independent regardless of what is said about you just do good and work hard and you will become what you want your self to be. We believe that gangs are getting more and more violent. For example, according to the news, the initiation to the Blood Gang started last week, with the killing of three girls, on in Brooklyn and two in New Jersey. Already there has been reportings of 31 slashes just on Halloween. According to the News, their goal is 300. In order to try to avoid this to happen to you, your family, or any of your friends, we urge you to follow these precautions:

1) stay home or arrive before a certain time

2) Dont be alone after dark

3) Dont wear red

4) if you feel or see something suspicious, avoid any type of contact and look for help ASAP.

In our opinion, people who are willing to risk losing everything in order to get into a gang is stupid. You should try to do everything in your power to stay safe in these harsh times.

The filthiness of the Bronx

  The Bronx is a cool place but it  could be filthy some times . Ashley Vargas said " when i walk around my neighborhood i always see garbadge in the streets, and there is always graffitti on the walls of buildings or stores."  Ashley Lebiana says " i hate the fact that every time people put posters or advertisements up, they have to put another one over it, which makes the whole thing look ugly." Karina Espino says " some of the people here, or the majority are very rude. for example when i get on the bus and it is overcrowded and someone gets pushed then they would be like "get the f*** out of the way! 'andres sanchez says" he doesn't like the fact that there be prostitutes on the corners, when they could make a better life for themselves." the reason we are talking about this topic is because we go to school here and live here, so we want it to be clean and not dirty.  We want this place to be clean and safe for every body

Fashion ?

In the Bronx people need major work with their fashion. Baggy jeans, and long T-Shirts have to go. Guys wear their jeans below their butt and man people don't like to see their butt. Guys need to wear shirts their size. Jeans need to be more tighter than many average guys wear them. People need to start taking care of their sneakers because many people can use old sneakers and match it up to make themselves look better. When people dress in style it makes them look nice but then it makes them look like other people and looking like other people is not a good thing. Being different can help you stand out of the crowd. Wearing brighter colors makes you seem different from other people which means you have your own sense of style. Skinny jeans is better then any other jeans because they show your curves. many people are afraid to show their fat but it shows you have confidence in what you wear.

RATS IN THE BRONX

A problem that every bronxite has to deal with is a pest called "rats".

Their stench is awful and they carry diseases.Dispite peoples feable attempts

to get rid of them by hiring an exterminator their numbers just keep growing

and growing. Leaving many frustrated trying to figure out a way to get rid of

the pest. Since rats are very adaptable and thrive in filthy enviornments some�

solutions people can use to keep their numbers from rising are to do their part

in helping to keep the bronx clean by proprely disposing of garbage and not�

littering. This will leave a more cleaner enviornnment making it harder for the

rats to find food and places to hide.Since rats are filthy animals that carry

many diseases that get many people sick with the decline of the rat population

then it will also lead to the decline of the out breaks of disease they spread�

making the bronx a much healthier place to live.

My Reaction To Obama's Victory over McCain?

What was my reaction to Obama's win?  Well, actually I was not to excited about it, because I did not know alot about this candidate. All I knew was that, first he is black, and could be the first black president ever. Then i found out about the candidates, Obama is better candidate, obviously we can all see that. HE IS THE PRESIDENT!!!!

school lunch

I believe the school lunch should be a balanced diet and nourished food,but instead we are given some type of food,which sometimes contains a high amount of fat.most of the time when you want to buy homemade cookies,the chef would say she is too tired to bake some,which means she had been doing some extra stuffs.this isn't fair to us and to her,so i think more chefs should be employed.besides all this,school lunch should be a variety of food and not a''one'' kind of food.

Bronx is known as a bad community, its reputation is local. The Bronx represents a bad borough of New york city,the people in the Bronx are being considered bad just because they are from the Bronx. Bronx is where the most dangerous events take place in New york city, its where numerous of gangs are, its dirty, unsafe and unsanitary. Seriously Bronx is not what people seem to take it for, we have good schools, good teachers and counselors. In Bronx we have good parks where you can rest and think. Bronx give employment to people, even if you have a high school diploma. Bronx have good shopping malls around your areas. Bronx is a good place, we just wished people could see i the way it is.

Dont you feel

What up yall how yall been. Dont you feel that we shounld get a realxing class were u get free time and learn things that are intersting to u and everyone else. Then the teacher and admissions wonder why kids are not intersted in the class or are falling asleep in class. I belive there shounld be one period a week or a day that students get to rest and enjoy them selfs without haveing to bother anyone. To tell you the truth when a child is relax and well they do better they pay attention just like in elementary school were kids have recess. And i beleive bigger kids the shounld get the same privlage . If it aleast 20min or 30 that good enough epecisally for jlhs were u stay in the class all day. Plz write back what u think and i be happy to read it.

In Jonathan Levin High School I have many disagreements and things I dont like regarding to ''us'' the students. However the main thing I disagree with is the way the staff sometimes treat the students when doing the metal detector process. I dont like the use of metal detector but in a kind of way i understand that its for our safety. However what i diagree with the most is the way the staff members in charge of the metal detector talk to the students. The reason of why I say this is because when the students have to go through the metal detectors they for instance the security guards treat and talk to us as if we the students were criminals. Due that the school had problems with students before or years ago doesnt mean that they have the right to speak to ALL students as if they were some type of criminals or as if ALL student were to be caring sometype of threating weapon. For instance, when the securities talk to us the students they talk to us as like ''come on hurry up'' or "your ringing get your bags and go back around''. Basically, my main point is that the way they talk to the students is not proper even though they're doing their job because I personally think that if you have a job you talk to people properly and respectedly and not like criminals.

I don't like earthquakes because they can kill people. An earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy in the earths crust that seismic waves. Earthquakes are recorded with a seismometer, also known as a seismograph. I think they should find a way to stop earthquakes.

the thing i bug me about school is that we can't bring our cell phone to school because they will take it and they don't know if we have an emergency outside the school 

Boring Teachers

You ever wondered why do you fall asleep in certain classes in school? Is it because of the subject or is it because of the teacher? My thought is the teachers. i think if we come to school everyday we should be able to come to school to have fun, and as our parents say we need to go to school to learn. But how do they expect us to learn if we sleeping? DUHH i think our teachers should have fun lessons and activities for us to do daily...

My problems about school =[

The things I hate most about school is the metal detectors. I hate having to stop, take off my belt and book bag, and put it under the metal detector every FREAKING day! I also don't like stpid people/friends. They make you look stupid in front of other people, or just make themselves look stupid. Now, the most thing that REALLY PISSES me off is stink people! I can't stand talking to them, let alone being next to them! They either have stink breath, arm pits, smelling like sweat, or any other offensive odor!

In my opinion students should wear uniform to repeasent the school. Student get ditention for not wearing uniform. Students wear uniform to be reconszie. Volcanic eruption are very dangerious. According to wikipidia, A volcano is an opening, or rupture, in a planet's surface or crust, which allows hot, molten rock, ash, and gases to escape from below the surface. Volcanic activity involving the extrusion of rock tends to form mountains or features like mountains over a period of time. in addition volcano is a very dangerious source in this world.


Well in conclusion, earth quakes are very dangerious. lol.am bored sorry:X

Conform to Uniform?

Are uniforms and conformity synonymous? Do soldiers not distinguish themselves in combat, or police officers in the line of duty? Do we not have medals and awards for all such individuals who stand out regardless of the fact that they wear the same clothes as another? Why should students be so resistant to uniforms in school then? Working at a large high school in the Bronx, the safety of our students is a necessity. Metal detectors scan students as they enter, but our campus houses six different schools. Of these, two do not mandate uniforms to be worn. This poses a problem of safety. If we cannot recognize which students belong on which floor, then we cannot adequately protect our students from unwanted interactions with students from another school. Likewise, since each school is technically a separate entity, students may find themselves facing trespassing charges if they were to get innocently lost. If all students were required to wear a uniform in the school building, they could be identified and guided to the correct place, before any incidents could occur. Furthermore, once students are freed of the burden of maintaining their outside appearance, they could then begin working to distinguish themselves by their minds.
