I think that if Mr.Freij and Ms.Ray were to fight I'd still respect them. The reason why is because I don't think that people deserve respect whether they fight or not. First of all, fighting is just a thing of life. Some consider it bad while others don't. Anyways my main point by this is that fighting shouldn't determine whether a person needs to be respected or not. A person should be respected at ALL TIMES whether they fight or not. Therefore, if Mr. Friej and Mrs. Ray were to fight I'll still respect them but ofcourse I wouldn't see them in the same way as before or think of them as the goodie teacher or even think that they're a good example of which we should follow.

"Bronx Environment Issue"

Bronx community has many issues in which it needs to improve on. However I theorize that the issue that the Bronx environment needs more improvement on is on its sanitation. Certain parts of the Bronx community is very filty and dirty. I think that the Bronx environment need more services of sanitation. The first reason why is because all its filtyness is causing air, land, and water pollution and this is something that is affecting our environment in a very negative way. Furthermore, I think that Bronx needs more sanitaion services because not only will it affect our environment in a good way but maintain our environment clean and sanitary. Last but not least with better sanitation services, our Bronx commnity will have a better image an d reputation.

Fortunately, scenitists have finally proven that one color is the best and that color is ORANGE. Proof: 1) Oranges are orange. It would be absurd for an orange to be blue. 2) Orange has the greatest number of words embeded within it it: ran, age, near, and so forth. Seriously, how many words can you make out of R - E - D? 3) A double blind study of 25,000 pre-schoolers found that the orange wrapper on a McDonald's package is superior to the blue found on Harry's Blue Burger wrappers. 4) Orange is a combination of red and yellow, which happen to be the second and third best colors on the list. So finally we can stop debating which color is the best. Now we know.

school

The school policy towards the school uniforms should be changed.The students of Taft High school be trusted and given a chance to wear regular clothes instead of the school uniforms. I think if the school did not allow students to wear their regular clothes to at less let the students design and vote for the uniform colors and design of the clothes. I hope the school gets ideas for this situation and they make their mind.

Physical Education

Is my most hated subject unlike most students who enjoy this class I hate it.My Reason for my hatred is I suck at sports.And there is a dumb dress code I often wonder why it is a reqirement cant' it be optional?,regardless I must force myself to complete this Subject otherwise im going to fail.

school policy

School policy is whack because we have to wear uniform and we don't have any freedom like change classes, eat outside of school,and more school activity. So that why school policy is whack and the lunches are whack to because sometime the lunch lady always make the same food over and over. The whole school should make news rule for J.L.S.H like new lunch meal.

obama

I am glad Obama was elected president, but before he was elected president he promised to withdraw all the u.s troops out of Iraq if he was elected president.

Obama was born in Hawaii, Honolulu, in1991, Obama gradated from Harvard law school so in my knowledge he's very intelligent. After college Obama was nominated to be elected president by the major u.s political party. I hope he keeps his promise.

Math Is Wack!!!

    I don't like math because it have a lot of  numbers. I like some session about math is  changing improper fraction to mixed numbers. I like to to add fraction because is easy. I like to count money. I really don't like to count is coins because is a lot of coins to count. 

The School Policy

      I believe that the school should let us leave for lunch time plus change classes. Student can't leave outside for lunch. Student can't en changed classes like the other school. Student don't have any other option to to eat school lunch and student could bring their own lunch. I believe that the school could let us leave for lunch because they will have less fights and cause the school should changed classes because it will be less boring and we could meet new teacher and student.

i HATE math.

I hate Math because it has so much problems and numbers. I also don't like math because it's to hard and so boring. A fact about Math is that people been using it for years, another fact about Math is that it's everywhere. For example, when you pay for something at a store with money you have to know Math to make change. If you don't know how to make change, then you don't know Math. Well even though I don't like Math we still have to learn it. The last fact about Math is that the word "product" means multiply. When you see a problem that says "what is the product of this problem _?" this means you have to multiply. Well my last opinion about Math is that it gives me a headache.

Fathers

Some fathers don't really care about their kids and they just throw them in the world for the mother to take care of them or other relatives . When i get older im going to make sure that my kids have a good father if they don't a step father will do it. lol

i think that mr.freij is correct because if someone in anther school wants to come from another school and fight with someone in this school then they would know that they are not in this school.BUT what if their was only one school in this building their can be no confusion. Is a Father a Father if he isn't their for you ?

What is a Father to you? is it a man who takes care of you or a man who just donates sperm? a Father is the man that has been in your life more than anything. Some dads don't worry about their kids. Many fathers don't want the kids they fathered. these days many people need fathers because of the economy. Many kids don't believe in step dads. Well a step dad can be the replacement of some one's dad who has not been in their lives. 

Fighting

If you and Mr. Freij fought, I will still respect you as long as you still people get along, as in, still taking to each other and asked each forgiveness.

I know that even you and your best friend had a fight it doesn't mean that friendship is over. There have to be a time that you and your friends don't agree something and it turns out to a fight, its to late to apologize.What really matters is the the love and the care that we for each and others.

Good friends will always be there for they will love you and care for you.

For me I will not want to fight because if i do i will regret it, so before you regret  do the right thing.

Does it matter if your pretty or ugly? Is it really your concern? I someone thinks you are ugly then you are ugly. All that matters it what you think not what no one else thinks. fathers are slacking

Many fathers aren't there for there children. They don't even call to see how there kids is doing. They just think about their selves. They don't want the mother to put them on child support but they don't help. I guess they just don't understand how much a child needs in life and how much money a child needs to be taken care of. A child is a big responsibility. They don't take responsibilities for what they have done. Some fathers never even seen there kids, because when they find out the girl is pregnant they decide to run and leave everything behind. I feel that fathers has to start stepping up and taking care of there kids. Us children need both parents in our lives. Now in days all you see are single moms trying to take care of there kids and give them everything they want. All a parent does is want there kids to be happy and without one parent that is hard. Fathers basically made us and just leave us and have us wonder about them.. Who is our father? How are they doing? Where are they at? We have all these questions and all fathers do is think about themselves. Sometimes a child can feel unimportant when their fathers don't call at least just to see how their child is doing they don't even have to stay on the phone for long. One phone call can make a big difference. I know how it feels because my father doesn't call me I have to call him to ask for whatever I want. I just wish fathers will take care of their responsibilities and start being in there kids lives.

The Fatherless Nation

Lets face it although it may not be politically correct to say so, vast numbers of Americans have gradually become fatherless. Now maybe not always in the actual sense of people not having fathers but in the sense of what I like to call absentee-parenting. This generally occurs when one parent is either expressing minimum or no interest in one or more aspects of their child's life and or their well being, thus leaving the other parent to play the role as both father and mother to the child. this parent left to play the secular role of primary care giver, bread winner and concerned parent is usually the mother.

In away fathers just drifted into the background of the family landscape willing to be credited in the areas where the sun shines and rejecting responsibility in the shadows. For some reason or another many fathers just aren't stepping up to take responsibility for their children leaving many mixed feelings on the child's part making it the norm for children to talk ill of their fathers with no remorse or sorrow for what was said further weakening the already estranged relation ship sadly many fathers just aren't taking responsibility for their children and no matter how you look at it they just aren't doing what they have to do to preserve a relationship with their children leading kids to do a lot of thing they wouldn't have their fathers were there. I think that the reason why America has been shoveling fatherless generation after fatherless generation is not just a one particular groups fault just as their are two sides to even a double-headed coin just like there are two sides to every story and you can't put the blame on a father for not being their for a child who expresses no int rest in them to begin with it takes two to tango just as it does to have a relationship and fathers. Even though the roles fathers play aren't nesscisarily ideal for many people their are others who are okay with but one thing im sure of is that all fathers need to play a bigger role in their childrens lives and that all children no matter what they say wish that they could to.

A FATHER IS A LEADER!!!!

Fathers nowadays are changing,they don't want to take responsibilities for their actions.Most families are not complete,the father is supposed to be the leader of the family,but in most cases in this generation,parents are divorced and in order to have a great family you need complete parents.I wonder if parents put their children into consideration before they make choices?This hurts us, especially when you have grown up with both around,and after a while you have to lose one,its painful.

School Issue: Going out for lunch

There are good things and bad things about going out for lunch. First off, school lunch is nasty. Some people, like me, don't eat lunch because its nasty. If we go out for lunch, everyone will eat and then we'll be more attentive in class. Also less people will cut afterwards because they're not hungry anymore. The bad thing is that some people are really irresponsible. So some people might not come back to school. 

The solution: what we could do is like have a trial run. If a big majority of people come back then it might be effective.If it works, then what we could do is sign a contract or something and if we go against it, then there would be consequences. Like for example, we cold get a detention for every period we cut, including PM school. That would be hott.......

Fighting

Fighting I think fighting is necessary if need example if a person  hits you for no reason and you warn them and they do it more then 3 times then you should fight them. Example me when I was in the 6th grade I had a fight with a boy because they boy had hit me in my face 4 times I warn him told him to stop he did not  listen I beat him up and he learn a lesson never to hit me in my face again. I think fighting is sometimes need to teach a lesson to people who need to learn it. The person  should fight over important things not dumb things like an important person hurts you do not apologize and laugh at goes up in your face pass your personal square then you  need to do something. I understand fighting is not safe but when its too much then you need to do it. I agree people should not fight because they can get hurt really badly and look like fools. But I think fighting should be done at most. But I also believe people should not fight because you can hurt a person and get arrested meaning fighting is bad but cops fight a criminal why is that when it is need when criminal refuse. Overall fight is bad and good so fighting is a okay I guess if you read this blog answer and i would love to hear what you think about my blog.

Dear Journalism Students,

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts in class this week. Some of you were very open and honest about your thoughts and feelings, and I was proud of you for your responses—It’s not an easy thing to do!

After hearing you thoughts, I came up with some questions I would like you to answer to follow-up our “snow ball” thought session. Here they are:

1. Many of your responses mentioned your mothers. Mothers have the ability to make us feel special or, sometimes, not-so special. They are a very important part of your lives. On the other hand, no one mentioned his or her fathers.

Questions: What role do fathers play in the lives of your generation? Is the role they play ideal, or do we want something more or something different from them? (You may answer this question in general, no need to talk about your family, unless you want.)

2. Listening to your responses, it seemed that you all did not think fighting was a big deal. However, it is a very big issue to teachers and administrators (not to mention the cops).

Questions: Why do you think there such a big difference in opinion? For example, what would you think if Mr. Freij and I fought? Would you still respect us?

Uniforms !

Uniforms are wack because it makes us look all the same, and you have to wear them everyday. Three facts about uniforms are that a lot of schools wear them, and they make you wear it. Another fact about uniforms is most schools have the same color. I think that schools shouldn't have uniforms because then more students would come to school in their own clothes, and students would be more happy.

I dislike Math

Obama

I'm very happy that Obama won. The election was very close between Obama and McCain. However, in Washington D.C Obama had 94 percent. of votes over McCain. Also, in New York state Obama had 75 percent of votes over McCain. Now in history Obama is the first black president. I am happy my mother voted for him.
